This website currently publishes educational guides and collects requests for early access. It does not produce personalized savings reports, process payments or switch utility providers.
The standard we’re building toward
- Your actual situation. Match service address, usage period and contract conditions. Distinguish measured information from estimates.
- Costs in context. Compare the same period and usage, including relevant fees, taxes, incentives and switching costs. Explain assumptions about future floating rates.
- Clear coverage. Say which eligible offers have been checked, when they were checked, and where information is missing.
- Your interests first. Retailer commissions must not determine which plans we consider or hide a better option. Disclose any commercial relationship that affects a transaction.
- Useful outcomes. Recommend a change only when its value and practical steps can be explained. Staying put can be the right answer.
How we publish guides
We use primary sources where possible, link to them and show the review date. Editorial pages are reviewed before publication. We distinguish examples from actual market offers and do not present illustrative calculations as customer savings.
Our launch guides draw on Alberta’s Utilities Consumer Advocate. BillRobin is an independent business and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the UCA, the Alberta government or any retailer mentioned in a source.
What a projection can and cannot tell you
A projection is a calculation under stated assumptions. A household’s future usage, weather, changing market rates and the date a switch takes effect can change the outcome. We will agree and publish the service’s price and savings assurance before offering a paid report.
